Tales of Tahoe Cruise from South Lake Tahoe -- This cruise brings legends of Lake Tahoe to life through the words of the man who first hiked here from Carson City in 1861 and pronounced this "the fairest picture the whole earth affords." Nationally acclaimed impressionist McAvoy Layne is the Ghost of Mark Twain who colorfully relates the "Tales of Tahoe" - one for adults and one for children - on this scenic voyage to spectacular Emerald Bay. Snacks, beverages, and late lunch entrees are available for purchase.

There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

The Boat: The Tahoe Queen
When you embark on one of the Tahoe Queen's entertaining cruises, you'll step aboard a vessel steeped in tradition, and you'll have a great deal of fun to boot.

Lake Tahoe's famous paddlewheeler, the Tahoe Queen, was built on the Mississippi River in 1983, then trucked to Lake Tahoe and reassembled. This historic paddlewheeler is 144 feet long and 33 feet wide, features three decks, and is Coast Guard certified for up to 500 passengers.
