"The Sunken Treasures of Lake Tahoe"

See underwater canyons and amazingly colorful formations that have never been viewed before, cruise through ancient petrified forests hidden by the lake for centuries, roam the bottom of Emerald Bay, and peer down the sheer vertical cliffs of Rubicon Bay.

Travel 500 feet below the surface of Glenbrook Bay to tour the legendary Steamer Tahoe, the majestic vessel that cruised Lake Tahoe for 50 years before being sent to the bottom by her owners and discover the previously unknown world of "The Sunken Treasures of Lake Tahoe."

The Boat: MS Dixie II

The luxurious paddlewheeler M.S. Dixie first came to Lake Tahoe in 1949, and has created a tradition of hospitality since then. Retired in 1993 and replaced by the state-of-the-art M.S. Dixie II, the tradition is alive today in Tahoe's newest and largest paddlewheeler.

U.S. Coast Guard certified for up to 570 passengers, the M.S. Dixie II was originally constructed on the headwaters of the Mississippi, then transported over 2,000 miles on transport rigs nearly a football field in length, to its home port.

A similar sightseeing cruise is offered throughout the year on the Tahoe Queen at South Lake Tahoe. For this cruise on the Tahoe Queen, please order Scenic Emerald Bay Cruise on the Tahoe Queen at Lake Tahoe.

Tour was great but would have been better if it hadn't rained the whole time. Only time it rained on our vacation was for this 2 hour trip. Drive around lake was also interesting and scenic.
